Candidate Profile Review
Please Note – there is no fee for this service – this is a ministry!
Your profile will be evaluated based on the criteria contained in Charting the Course – The Pastoral Search Process. This is a comprehensive matrix designed to engage the candidate in a thoughtful presentation of himself/herself to a church search committee or other prospective employer.
The standards used in this critique will include generally recognized professional standards for resumes; this means that your profile will be viewed stylistically and grammatically as well as in specific terms of your ministry emphasis and position.
What you will receive:
à A written critique of your submission. This will either be via a separate document or via notes contained within the document that you submit or both.
à A telephone consultation to review the critique. Once you have received the critique we will arrange a telephone appointment to answer any questions you may have and to follow-up on our written comments. Our goal is to schedule telephone consultations for within two business days of the client’s receipt of our critique.
à You may submit a revised critique for review. If you do so, we will review this revision with you over the telephone.
“Why don’t you charge for this service?”
That’s a great question. CompassDynamicsSM is first and foremost a ministry. We love the church and we love pastors and others in ministry. We know there are times when candidates could really use “a second look” at their material but are worried about money. It is our hope that our ministry approach will encourage candidates to obtain assistance – because for every person we help in ministry we have, by extension, assisted all those the minister will serve.
